This project came to us under primer and roughly assembled. The customer was looking for a custom build including a reverse tilt hood, side wing glass delete, custom interior with digital dash, 4 link rear suspension, and a Mustang II front suspension. Many of these options required extensive modifications to the frame and body. We first checked and corrected all fit issues with the 4 link and Mustang II suspension before sending the frame and suspension parts off to be powder coated. Rust issues in the cab and doors were addressed with new cab corners, cowl panels and lower door panels. The '54 f100's were build with 2 piece winged door glass and the customer wanted single door glass. Supports in the door and parts of the door frame were removed to make room for the new single glass. The doors were also fitted to the cab by gapping the door frames to widen the door. The cab was then sprayed with Epoxy Primer and High build primer to be blocked down and put back on the frame for final color and clear. A new 302 was purchased and painted before installing it in the frame along with the front and rear suspension and all new brake system. All new wiring and a fuse panel were installed before the custom interior and dash. The doors, fenders, hood, and bed were all prepped with primer and High build before being blocked, painted and installed.
